Droid RAZR Already Rooted Before Release
Well, would you look at that. Just like the Droid Bionic and Droid 3 before it, Motorola’s new darling – the DROID RAZR – has already been rooted, weeks before Verizon and Motorola have even released the phone. The directions on the root process will be forthcoming from P3Droid after the RAZR is already available. I am assuming they don’t want Motorola to patch the root process that is used before the RAZR has shipped. This is good news for those who are planning on purchasing the phone, especially those who have the phone pre-ordered.
The question now is will the permanent root process that is being used for many of Motorola’s products work on the new Droid RAZR? I am assuming that it will, seeing that all three phones are so similar. Also, lets hope that the ROMs will be as easy to transfer from the RAZR to the Bionic, as they currently are from the Bionic to the Droid 3. With all these newer Motorola phones being so similar in hardware and software, it keeps the ROM developers pool expanding, which is always a good thing for us Motorola Droid fans. Does the fact that the Droid RAZR has already been rooted sway anyone into purchasing the RAZR over the Galaxy Nexus?
